Dear Visitor,
We need your help. Beginning on August 15 through September 2, 2008, Haiti was hit with two storms and two hurricanes within a three-week period: Fay, Gustav, Hanna, and Ike. The damages have been severe and understated. Bridges have collapsed; thousands upon thousands are hungry and homeless. The country’s agricultural livelihood is nonexistent.
Our organization not only wants to join the humanitarian efforts in bringing contributions to Haiti, but, we would also like to help the country recover from this disaster. We are in desperate need of dry food, drinking water, and resources. A list has been provided on our donations page. As you view our pages, read the facts retrieved from newspapers, articles and see the pictures themselves, please consider giving a gift to help these people.

Abundant Ground in NYC
The Abundant Ground in NYC is a program providing holiday cards to inmates in the New York State Correctional Facilities.
In the United States there are at least 1.5 million children who have an incarcerated parent, which causes or contributes to their physical, social and
emotional well-being (Adalist-Estrin, 1995).
Other research shows a prison sentence does nothing to improve relationships skills, teach coping strategies or
foster family functioning (Swanson, 2004). The support provided by family members and children to inmates is what our program wants to strengthen. Outside
the experience taught in the correctional facilities, healthy human interactions with family members and children are important too.
The Abundant Ground in
NYC is a program enabling inmates to get the support of their family and children through this free holiday card distribution. On December 14, 2009, The
Abundant Ground in NYC distributed 1200 holiday cards between the Arthur Kill and Bayview Correctional Facility. We to change the cause of recidivisim with
demonstrate understanding and compassion. If you would like more information about this cause, please contact us at info@TheAbundantground.org.
Abundant Ground on Long Island
A common misconception is an individual not living on the street, but who has a home and drives a car, couldn’t possibly suffer from hunger. Sad to say there more people who drive home to an empty refrigerator than one might think. Often the choice is between putting gas in the car and buying food. Too often putting gas in the car wins.
The Abundant Ground Foundation doesn’t want to neglect the families living in Nassau County, Long Island who may have enough to keep a roof over their heads but not enough for food. It is heartbreaking having a neighbor ask for eggs and bread, though she’s been employed at the same location for twenty-three years. This is not an isolated incident. Families upon families are making tough choices like leaving for work hungry or using credits cards to charge food. The Abundant Ground Foundation would like set up a monthly distribution of bread, milk, eggs, rice, and juice, in a dignified manner, to individuals and families whose income do not qualify them for government aid but nonetheless need the help. Please consider giving a donation in support of this cause. Should you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us at info@TheAbundantground.org.
Abundant Ground in Louisiana
The Abundant Ground in Louisiana is household goods program. We collect and solicit house hold goods (supplies for the kitchen, living-room, bedroom and family room) for families making a new start in their homes. We know having a home is precious and part of The American dream. We want to add our support to other charities in Louisiana who provide the same. For all our programs we solicit private and public donations, monetary and non monetary donations, creative and new support and ideas. Without support from you, we cannot begin to help. Please consider giving a donation in support of this cause. Should you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us at info@TheAbundantGround.org.
